Two storefront spaces in an 1890's commercial/apartment building, an overgrown garden and crumbling coach house have been integrated into a studio and retail store for flowers, plants and artifacts.
A palette of industrial materials has been developed including steel stairs with tensioned cable railings, steel casement windows and galvanized siding.
A dramatic tension is created between the age and character of the existing spaces, the new industrial materials and the inherent romanticism of the store merchandise.
