The Kraft General Foods Education Center is designed to present an accessible art experience that allows children and adults to actively and intimately interact with art.
A microcosm of the larger museum, the Education Center features exhibition gallery spaces, a family reading room with story-telling amphitheater, workshop studios, teacher resource center, auditorium, museum docents headquarters, a reception and information center and staff offices.
Architectural detailing throughout the children's area is carried out with the intent of reflecting and repeating the general design vocabulary of the museum yet in this case scaled to young people.
