A team of Community organizations
is developing the first large scale supportive housing project in Cleveland.
The project will have 52 studio units for single adults who are homeless
with mental disabilities, substance abuse problems or HIV/AIDS. The building
will have ground floor spaces for community meetings, education, computer
training, exercise, and life training units as well as offices for Social
Service staff and secured outside community spaces. The building design
relates to the context of West Cleveland and the existing streetscape
while developing an articulation with various brick and bay colors that
breaks down the facade into “townhouse” scaled elements. |
