St. Leo the Great Apartments Developed in conjunction with the Veterans Administration, this new construction apartment building is composed of 141 studio apartments providing affordable housing for veterans. The new building fits within its context of a historic Chicago neighborhood and reflects a classical design that befits its role as veterans' housing.
	Sousa Apartments This project is proposed for a site occupied by a former church, school, and convent currently used as a temporary overnight shelter and will provide permanent housing for single adults at risk of homelessness. The convent will remain as a scale transition to the adjacent neighborhood, and will be rehabilitated and extended with a three story addition that blends with the existing architecture. Along with the adjoining new four story addition, the project will include 105 studio apartments, with social service support spaces on the ground floor.
